What is happening here, beneath the paper cover of $What is happening here, beneath the paper cover of my kid's copy of “Wings Of Fire" Book Fourteen? THE COVER IS ON UPSIDE DOWN. Or, the interior is upside down. Either way, I was happy to see it. Printing errors, like all human errors, are a thing. Acknowledging "mistakes happen" shouldn't relieve us from the efforts to do good work or the work to get our ego out of the way so we can seek patterns in repetitive mistakes to ultimately remedy them. But recognizing that they can always happen keeps our humanity in check. Still, it was nice to see that printing mistakes aren't reserved for the small presses; they can happen to the biggies too. P.S. Our worst book error was with Move Your DNA: a small fraction of the print had books where a 30-page hunk was just a repeat of the previous 30-page hunk. This was obviously problematic, and the printer replaced the bad books, but more often than not, they're not a huge deal. -KB #indiebooks #bookpublishing #ibpa$
